The second edition of “Bharat Bangla Paryatan Utsav 2022” will start on April 17 in Agartala

Agartala, 12th April 2022: In order to strengthen the cordial relations between Bangladesh and Tripura more effectively, Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited is organizing a 2nd Bharat Bangla Paryatan Utsav-2022 of 3 days; will take place from April 17 to 19.
The three-day event will bring together hoteliers, tour operators, cultural organizations, intellectuals, writers, artists, and more. from Bangladesh, West Bengal and the northeastern states of India.
Addressing a press conference at the Geetanjali Tourism Guest House here in Agartala on Tuesday afternoon, Tripura Tourism Minister – Pranajit Singha Roy said: “Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will inaugurate the 2nd Bharat Bangla Paryatan Utsav -2022 at Ujjayanta Palace here in Agartala on the evening of April 17th.
“Bangladeshi MP Habibur Muktar Chaudhury has agreed to attend the inaugural ceremony. In case he does not show up, another MP from Bangladesh will attend the event on the day. A total of 25 delegates from Bangladesh are participating in this event,” he added.
The first two-day Bharat-Bangla Paryatan Utsav was held on February 20-21, 2020 in the city of Agartala.
Quoting the details of the three-day programme, Singha Roy said, “The event will start with a road show or procession starting at 7 a.m. on April 17 covering different streets in Agartala city, followed by a food festival at 4 p.m. and inauguration program at 6 p.m. at Ujjayanta Palace in the city of Agartala.Later, cultural program from 7:30 p.m. at the premises of the Palace where artists like Subash Reang, Piyali Das Bardhan Roy , Shilpa Biswas (Bangladesh) and Niharika Nath will perform.
“The second day, Business to Business (B2B) will start from 11:00 a.m. at Geetanjali Tourism Guest House, followed by a cultural program at Ujjayanta Palace from 6:00 p.m. where entertainers like Rajib Chatterjee, Rakesh Dev Barman, Rajendra Debbarma, Kala Mandal, Raju Mog, Surajit Debbarma, Niger Sultana (Bangladesh) and Dohar Group (West Bengal) will perform – Roy said.
“On the third day, the FAM (familiarization) tour will start at 7 a.m. and the destinations are Chabimura, Dumboor Lake and Chottakhola. Later in the evening at 6:00 p.m., the cultural program will kick off with performances by Dr Uttam Saha, Adhiraj Debbarma, Chitralekha Chakma, Srijan Dance Academy of Udaipur, Guru Bihari Sing Dance Academy of Jogendranagar, Nandi Gopal Jamatia, Shipra Biswas, Swargasree and Biswanath Debbarma,” he added.
During the press conference, Tarit Kanti Chakma, Managing Director of Tripura Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) Limited was present.
